Maintenance Update
Given by Glenn Dalton
We are in progress of filling pot holes, we have 1/3 done and hope to complete by the end of June. Road Repairs, Spring & Summer of 2010 are ongoing. We are working on ditch work on Captains right now. Specifically swale, the dirt has built up and is impeding the water flow. We are also doing patchwork on Captains. Road Culvert replacement is on going, the one over by Su Twan on Fountainbleu is going to be repaired on June 2nd. Next is Acapulco, and then the one on Brigantine. Rebuild the road to the north property, we are not going to build a road there per say, we are going to patch the road currently and make the road passable. The biggest problem is the over flow that comes out of the brood pond. We are going to fix up that area so that we can get over that readily. Dam clean up is ongoing, rip rap on the north silt containment area. As soon as we get a concurrence from DCEO to spend the money we are going to hopefully do it in August. The R3 rip rap that was up there is just not heavy enough for the flow from Jolters Creek. We are going to replace it with R4. We are going to rebuild berm at the entrance to the North Property with clay. Dredging from April to September, we are installing a polymer pipe and pump; we are tested every week when we send in a sample to IEPA. The levels are high and we need to get it back down.

Dam inspections are done monthly. Install new no wake buoys with lights in high traffic coves in June. Community Dock repairs done in April. Beaches open on May 29th. Clean the Swim Dock, done on the 27th, beaches close on September 26th. Set up swim ropes & signage being done now. Cleaning Beaches ongoing, outlots and playgrounds, grass mowing and trash we do that weekly. Add mulch to clubhouse landscaping is complete. Dead tree removal as required, weed spraying as needed, rebuilding the ball field was started early this year and is ongoing. We have the clay down and hopefully with the warm weather will allow us to finish. Oil and chip as needed, replacing basketball hoops. On Willow cove we need to reestablish the Rip Rap. Service AC is ongoing; the lightning damage has been repaired on the AC. 4th of July is coming up we have our permit and it is going to be a great show.

Committees
Scott Webber: Talked to Ray and Ty Van Ryswyk, he has agreed to take over the Real-estate committee. Goal is to have 1 board member and only one on every committee. The Finance committee is the exception to the rule. Everyone kind of pick one out, you don’t have to be the chair just more of an advisor.

IEPA
Scott Webber: We sent a letter to Senator Beiser and he submitted it to the IEPA and they are willing to make an exception to let Holiday Shores use Geo-Bags.
Jim McCann: We spent a lot of time on the phone, lobbying his office; we used Senate Bill 3064 to get here, if nothing else we got that have stopped the bulls impact on our ability to conduct dredge operations.
Scott Webber: They excluded us from the bill the first time around, then we went to them and said, let us help you make this better. They will not add Geo bags but IEPA will allow Holiday Shores to use them with the proper permitting. I am not sure that we are the only ones being allowed.

Gerry Theodor 1346: As I understood it, they were not approving Geo Bags for General use, or for testing. But the corp. of engineers can used them are we going to have to use it quickly?
Scott Webber: I am going to let our Lake Manager and the Lake Management committee to work this out with the Geo Bag manufacturer.

Open Floor
Gerry Theodor: Complaining about the lack of entertainment in the board meetings.

Joe Roth 1080: I went by the dam the other day and you guys did a great job rip rapping that dam. I am retired now so when I go around the community and I see these guys working and keeping the community pretty, I really appreciate everyone and the effort they put in. I am sure we don’t pay that much to begin with and I just wanted to let you know it is appreciated as a resident out here. I wouldn’t want to live any other place. I just want to thank you all for everything you do.

David Decker motions to adjourn to executive session, Jim McCann seconds
